When LocknCharge was conceived 15 years ago in Perth, Western Australia, the technology landscape was very different to what it is today. Back then it was the large-scale theft of school laptops that prompted Paul Symons, a local school teacher, to start developing a solution that would eventually have a radical impact on reducing computer theft throughout the whole of Australia.

Today the technology is more advanced - laptops that had to be stored securely overnight have evolved into tablets and notebooks that need to be charged, synced and transported - but the basic principle behind all LocknCharge products remains the same: keeping technology safe, simply!

Michelle McLean, Information Services Librarian at Casey-Cardinia Library Corporation, in Australia, was impressed by the safety and flexibility the Carrier 40 Cart offered. The Corporation was looking for a secure storage device to span its network of seven libraries, following the recent introduction of mobile devices at these facilities.

“We were looking for a mobile but secure storage solution for our range of newly introduced mobile devices. It needed to be both portable but able to be secured to prevent unauthorised removal. It also needed to be able to store a range of different devices, including tablets, iPads and e-book readers.
